Unexpected "I Do's" - A Surprise Elopement!

03-23-23

The perfect day for a SURPRISE elopement!

A little bit of Landen and Danielle’s story 👇

A few weeks ago I received a message from Landen saying they were going to be traveling to my area from out of state with their two daughters and he wanted to plan a surprise ceremony for his girlfriend but didn’t know where to start.

In Landen’s own words: “She wants to just go to a courthouse, but I want to surprise her by randomly running into you at a beautiful viewpoint. We’ve been together for a decade and have 2 kids so it’s a guaranteed “yes” But the whole idea is just to surprise her because she has wanted to get married for SO long.”

We quickly began planning! On March 22, the four of them began their road trip with a stop at the beautiful Multnomah Falls in Northern Oregon. With the waterfall directly behind them, Landen got down on one knee and asked Danielle to be his wife! Their daughters were so excited! Little did Danielle know the surprises didn’t stop there.

On March 23, they arrived in Southern Oregon where Landen drove to the Court House and told Danielle the ceremony is happening TODAY! They obtained their marriage license and went directly to a park where I was waiting along with two of their friends. We had a beautiful, short and sweet ceremony with their family on FaceTime. Landen knew he wanted to include their daughters somehow, so I made a keepsake Marriage License where they got to help their parents make it official by signing as their witnesses. They all loved it! This was such an amazing and special moment to be part of.

Thank you again Landen, for choosing me to be part of this perfect surprise! Congrats one more time to Landen and Danielle!🎉💍
